Home At Last!

Well hello, blog...it's been a while!  I know I have been terrible with updates lately, but we have been so busy that I honestly just haven't had the energy.  We've been on the road pretty much every weekend since the beginning of May (and every other weekend for a while there before that), and it has taken its toll for sure!  Two weekends ago, we celebrated with my sister and her new husband, Josh, on their wedding day.  I didn't take my usual million pictures because we were so busy, but I will post links when I get them. :-)  This past weekend, we celebrated the 4th with Dan's family at the beach.  I do have a million quite a few pictures from that trip, but I'll save those for another post.


In the meantime, I just wanted to drop in and say that we're still alive!  We're home now and have no firm plans to be out of town again until the beginning of September for Sheila's wedding in Cali, and it feels glorious.  L has been waking up at night some over the past two weeks, but other than that she is her usual perfectly pleasant and adorable self!  I think she's probably trying to adjust to being in several different places, not to mention she's gotten totally off of any sort of schedule and I think she may be teething to boot.


That's all for tonight - I thought I'd ease back into it with some photo cuteness!  I took these pictures on the actual 4th of July so that L could model her patriotic outfit.  Lilly hearts America.  She was having a great time, hamming it up for Mommy and giving me endless belly laughs.  The child is so expressive, she kills me.  I could eat her up!

Dear Mom, this is SO boring and I wish you'd get that thing out of my face!

Happy Belated Birthday, America.  We are so thankful for those who sacrifice so that we can be free.
