Size of Baby Boy: Over 16 inches long and around 3 1/3 lbs (+2 at LEAST, I'm sure)...about the size of a coconut!

Baby is apparently heading into a growth spurt (great!) and plumping up (Guaranteed. Have you seen his big sister's baby pictures?! Can't wait to squeeze him.). He can turn his head from side to side and he "may be moving a lot" (understatement of the century).
Weight Gain So Far: Per my home scale this morning, it appears that it's about +21 lbs. Must be all of those candy cane kisses (and honeybuns). I guess I will fail my goal of 25 lbs or less gained but I'm okay with it!
Cravings: Sweeeeeeeeeeeeets. Can't get enough. If it is not a sweet, I don't want any part of it. It's bad, I'm telling you what.
Aversions: Still nothing that I can think of except everything that's not a sweet.
Symptoms: A slight change here this week is that I've experienced quite a lot of pretty intense cramping. Not sure what that's all about. I've been sleeping slightly better but am still exhausted most of the time. No complaints here, though, still feeling great!
Movement: This child will surely be a soccer or football player or maybe even a dancer. I remember writing the same thing about Lilly, and she surely did not slow down once she vacated the womb so I have a feeling we're in for it with these two!
What I Miss: Can't think of a thing other than the usual wine (or in the case of my Christmas party on Saturday, champagne!).
Signs of a Bump: Please. Is that a question? I actually did take this photo yesterday, on the day I was 31 weeks, and was pretty proud of myself for remembering.
And Lilly at 31 weeks:
Totally looks like I have a claw here, no? |
It's crazy to me how differently I've carried both babes!
What I'm Thankful For: The fact that tomorrow is Thursday, which means I'm one day closer to the weekend!
What I'm Looking Forward To: The weekend! We have lots of fun activities planned. My family is coming into town to visit and to celebrate my birthday. We're planning to go to a parade with the Aldridges and see Santa at the Holiday Express at Pullen, among other things. Also, I'm looking forward to tomorrow afternoon, when Lilly is trying out her first gymnastics class!!! Photo overload to come, I feel sure. AND more nursery progress! The construction is, of course, behind where it is supposed to be and I'm trying really hard not to be annoyed about it, but we have progress. AND I made my first nursery-related purchase last night. Behold:
SO CUTE, yes? We don't have a crib or any necessities really, but we have a rug, folks! The color looks different in every photo I've seen, so we'll see what it looks like when it arrives next week. I'm going for teal/turquoise. Y'all know I love some One Kings Lane.
Next Doctor Appointment: Next Wednesday, 12/18! I didn't schedule my typical Tuesday appointment because I don't feel like dealing with my weight gain on my birthday. :-)
Auntie Syd finished her exams early and arrived in Raleigh tonight, so I'm off to hang out with her. Enter the giveaway. Do it!
